Facilitates processes on a daily basis to expedite patient's movement within the hospital system. In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, and adhering to patient centered care principles, facilitates movement of patients throughout the organization. Coordinates, prioritizes and optimizes patient flow activities. This position is based in the CHRISTUS Command Center.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, inter-dependently, and set priorities.
Demonstrates proficiency in supporting and guiding Associates.
Demonstrates the ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change, flexibility.
Basic computer skills.
Three (3) to five (5) years recent experience as Patient Access Rep or Unit Clerk in acute care hospital setting required.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) through the National Association of Healthcare Management (NAHAM) completed within the first 6 months of employment and no later than Associate's first anniversary.
