Nursing Director, Surgical Services
Full time opportunity. Provides direct supervision and general management with 24 hour responsibility for Surgical Services; although generally a Monday - Friday schedule. Responsibilities include the overall fiscal management, staffing, performance management and continuing education of the staff.
Is accountable and responsible for promoting quality patient care services within surgery and the sterile processing departments. This role provides leadership in the area of clinical practice, education, administration, research and consultation.
Education: BSN from four-year college or university.
Experience: One to two years related experience and/or training in a surgical environment. Prior nurse management experience required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current professional nurses registration in State of Illinois. P.A.L.S. certification required. Certification as ONC (Orthopedic Nurse Certified), CNOR (Certified Nurse in the Operating Room), or RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) preferred. BLS certification.
