The University of Minnesota Medical School seeks applications for Director of the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension. Minnesota is a top-ranked research university with one of the largest, most academically productive Academic Health Centers in the US.
We are seeking a physician-scientist with a strong track record as an investigator, mentor, clinician and educator who will lead this division of 17 faculty, 4 fellows, 8 APPs and $20M of annual revenue from clinical services and grants. The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension is a key component of the large solid organ transplant program at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. There are over 400 adult transplant recipients annually.
Candidates with a demonstrated ability to maintain an externally funded research program will receive high priority in the selection process. Applicants must be board certified in Nephrology and eligible for a Minnesota medical license. The position reports to the Nesbitt Chair and Head, Department of Medicine, Peter Igarashi, MD.
