Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine Faculty Position

Description: The University of Washington (UW) is recruiting for a full-time (12 months per year) Assistant or Associate Professor (without tenure due to funding, commensurate with experience) on the Clinician/Teacher pathway in the Division of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine, Department of Medicine.
The successful candidate will have clinical responsibilities on both inpatient and outpatient services, and utilize their leadership skills to lead and administer education programs in palliative care.
Anticipated start date would be July 2019.
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research, and service.

Qualifications: Requirements include an MD, DO (or foreign equivalent) and Board Eligibility or Certification (or foreign equivalent) in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. Board Eligibility or Certification in Geriatric Medicine will also be considered. To be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
A competitive candidate will provide clinical service in the inpatient and outpatient care settings and will have demonstrated interest and expertise in leading educational activities and initiatives in palliative care.
