Cejka Executive Search has been retained by Kaweah Delta Health Care District in central California to assist in the recruitment of a system Chief Quality Officer. Kaweah Delta is the largest hospital in Tulare County, a certified level III Trauma Center, and a fully accredited teaching hospital with six residency programs. The eight-campus healthcare district contains over 581-beds offering comprehensive health services including cardiac surgery, general surgery, cancer treatment, mental health services, orthopedic surgery, a renowned NICU and pediatric center, and more. In addition, Kaweah Delta’s multidisciplinary medical foundation is the only integrated medical network in the Tulare Kings County area. Responding to a record number of patients across the region and an increase in complexity of patient needs, Kaweah Delta is expanding programs, services, and facilities, while remaining committed to their mission of providing safe, high quality, and customer-oriented care for their communities. Kaweah Delta seeks a progressive physician leader with proven success in community and employed medical staff engagement to advance the system’s commitment to providing the highest quality, safety and consistency of care. The system Chief Quality Officer will lead and develop the strategic vision, implementation and management of clinical quality and patient safety programs across the system. To support Kaweah Delta’s success in the new value-driven healthcare environment, the Chief Quality Officer will establish evidence-based best practices and care pathways to improve quality and safety outcomes, enhance caregiver and provider engagement, and improve cost of care across the care continuum. Working closely with the Executive Team and Medical Staff Leadership, the Chief Quality Officer will advance a culture of safety and quality, transparency, multidisciplinary collaboration, measurement and accountability with medial and hospital staff. Successful candidates will be proven physician leaders with demonstrable results in advancing quality and patient safety outcomes in acute and ambulatory settings. A dynamic and collaborative leadership style with excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated expertise in physician engagement and alignment, process improvement and program development are essential.
