YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
As an integral part of the senior management team, you’ll participate in the development of the strategic and operating plans, ensuring integration with the organization and fluid communication of plans to physicians.
Leads performance improvement, resource management, and quality related activities of medical center and/or ambulatory practices.
Serves as the senior physician leader responsible for clinical quality, clinical care delivery systems and outcomes.
Assists medical staff in formulating standards of care, providing strategic direction and facilitating communication between the medical staff and administration to ensure and positive relations.
Assists in representing medical staff interests to management; fosters an environment of team work, collaboration and mutual trust between the two.
Assigned to acute care medical centers (and ambulatory areas for Summit assignment) in the market and aligns medical staff goals with the site, market and organizational objectives and strategies.
Coordinates a system center-wide Performance Improvement Program to include establishment of standards of performance, monitoring mechanisms and outcomes tracking for medical center departments and medical staff. Guides and directs activities of PI teams.

QUALIFIED CMO CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
Doctorate Degree in Medicine
Medicine and Surgery | MD-DO license issued by the state in which the team member practices
10 years of experience in a clinical field as a practicing physician;
Including 5 years of management experience in directing medical operations, strategic performance improvement and quality programs within a large healthcare system.
An attained board certification in a clinical field.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation and diplomacy.
Knowledge of contemporary practice issues within medicine.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct and evaluate healthcare and medical staff activities.
Previous CMO experience is highly preferred.
