Rome, GA – Floyd Health System seeks a trusted, performance-driven, collaborative physician leader to serve as System Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The CMO will play a role in helping Floyd anticipate and adapt to the national healthcare environment and will establish and facilitate processes to ensure appropriate input, engagement and alignment of all physicians.
As a key member of the Floyd executive leadership team, the CMO will work collaboratively to establish the overall direction and priorities for Floyd in enhancing the quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare delivery. The CMO will lead clinical initiatives aimed at improving patient services, quality and safety outcomes, demonstrably improve physician alignment and satisfaction, and lead evidence- based programs, practices and activities that deliver quality, service and financial results.

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader who can clearly and comfortably communicate with and collaborate with physicians of various backgrounds and with administrators at various levels. He/she will be a physician with a medical degree from an accredited school and appropriate board certification. He/she will possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Georgia and will have at least 5 years experience serving in a physician/executive/administrative leadership role. An advanced degree in healthcare administration or a related field is desirable.
