The Department of Surgery in the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine at University Hospitals seeks to hire an Assistant Professor, tenure-track. Candidate should hold a doctoral degree, preferably in Biochemistry and Cancer Biology, and exhibits excellence in the disciplines of colorectal cancer (CRC) prevention and treatment. The selected candidate will carry out complex and advanced research study to validate the role of liver endothelia cells (ECs) in promoting HER3-driven CRC cell survival pathways and to determine the mechanism of liver EC-induced HER3 activation in CRC cells. Qualified candidates are required to bring funded R00 grant in the area. Post-doctoral fellow experience (5+ years) doing primary CRC cells and liver ECs from surgical specimens is required.
The successful candidate is expected to secure independent, extramurally funded research program, to actively contribute to the educational missions of the department and to engage in departmental, institutional, and professional service activates.
