Physician (Hospitalist)
Overton Brooks VA Medical Center is recruiting for two (Hospitalist), full-time, temporary, not-to-exceed one year, board certified/board eligible physicians in Internal Medicine. Major Duties/Responsibilities: The Hospitalist works within the General Internal Medicine Section of the Medical Service. Candidates should have expertise in inpatient medical management and critical care experience. As the in-house medicine attending physician you will be addressing requests for transfer to Medicine Service from outside facilities and urgent/emergent general medicine consults. Some other functions are performed by the Hospitalist include, but are not limited to the following: Attending responsibilities on inpatient medicine team Coordination of inter-facility transfers Supervision and education
