Current knowledge of adolescent/young adult medicine. Ability to understand and communicate in the English language. Ability to work at a pace consistent with the health center’s needs to ensure that students are served in a timely manner. Ability to physically assist patients as necessary, may entail lifting patients, pushing wheelchairs, or carrying students who have fainted. Manual dexterity to perform medical tasks unassisted, e.g., suturing, bimanual exams, CPR. Ability to cope with interruptions, multiple tasks, and stress of dealing with multiple patients at a fast pace (especially during peak workload times such as flu season).
